Hah. well, yeah, that did happen last time I owned a set of Gold wheels on an alfa...
Pick up my freshly machined Adaptors tomorrow - $25 in machining and $15 worth of 6061 per adaptor - nice to have a mate who's got access to underutilised CNC Lathes and mill.

I've been knocked out with a virus that my g/f brought back from Hong Kong, so I hadn't finished the install of the vac line and the controller for the exhaust, but this afternoon I managed to pull apart the interior of the 164, tap into the coil trigger from the ECU, run the trigger wire and the vac line through to the boot... tomorrow morning is hooking up the controller and actuator - shouldn't take too long. No vids till I can con the missus into holding the camera.

actually finally put gold wheels to use last weekend - had to 'machine' the spigot size to fit on rear (must be 'big' 2.0 axles) but all turned out good - even have 1mm less offset than my other wheels, so it looks fully sic bro

anyway, pics of stupidly good looking gold wheels on 164 or ban!

So, it turns out that a 17x9" is really quite alot of wheel to try to stuff under a 164...
17x9, 25.5 offset (effective), 215/50 rubber (being turfed for 225/45s - it's what came on the wheels)
The rears need about a 5mm or so spacer to clear - the factory 3mm spacer just doesn't quite do it.

Yep, 12v - 164QV - Quadrifolglio Verde, as opposed to 164Qv - Quatrovalvole.
Yeah, they're definitely 9" wide rims... 225s should still fit because the sidewalls will be straight up and down...

I have 235mm wide race rubber (usually 10-15mm wider then street rubber) on my 9" rims and when I stack the wheels the tyres doesn't even come close to touching each other.
