Marco from Germany says hello

Post by Marco75 »

Hello everyone, my name is Marco Brestitsch and I live in the south of germany (near Karlsruhe). Despite, I'm just 23 years old I like older cars alot, because imo newer cars are not the same anymore, as they used to be, even if they do everything better. Also at work I work alot with old Alfas and Maseratis :)

I own 3 Transaxle Alfas, one red Alfa 75 1.8 for daily drive (Well, the red turned more into a mix between pink and purple  and it received some scratches and dents from retards, not caring about other people's cars and soon it reaches 300.000km but hopefully will see better days )
2nd one is a 1976 alfetta gt 1.8 1st series, which I bought very cheap but it needs a
complete restoration and is stored until I have time for it.
The other 75 is a 1987 75 Turbo America which I bought from France. Sadly to say, few weeks after I bought it, the engine went kaputt, but it was my fault. Was really a beginners mistake.. car had a chiptuning to raise boost and I used to hot spark plugs, so I burned a hole into one piston :( This happened already 3 years ago.
Then i decided, to make not just the engine new, but also do some work here and there..you know how it happens
Sadly I did not have much time for the car over the last 2 years, so I did not make a big progress :(
I will add some pictures ;)

Also I own 2 33s. One I got for free, but it has alot of rust, and its just standing around.
2nd one is a 1.7 16v that already has a rollcage and some other nice stuff and really 0 rust. But I want to finish the 75 Turbo first, before I start doing sth on this one.

There is no marriage planned atm
I realized, I need to make new pictures tomorrow ;)
It's not that much.. its a 3hr trip to the ring from my home, so if I have time, I would love to join :) (was there already maybe 10 times but only as spectator for 24hr race, oldtimer gp and so on but never with my own car, so it was on my "to-do" list for next year anyway ;)
Here is a little "teaser" of what the car looked when I bought it and what i did already.
