75 TS 3.0 V6 24v project

Post by Jelmer75 »

I'm Jelmer from the Netherlands and I'm putting a 3.0 V6 24v in my 75 TS.

Image
The 75 is fitted with Merwede springs, Gaz shocks, polyurethane everywhere and a 27mm torsion bar. I didn't do anything about the front ride height because the V6 will change this.

The "new" engine:

And a donor 75 2.5 V6 that I bought for the sump, tail piece, flywheel and therostat housing:

I ordered a lot of new parts for the swap but I still need some used parts like the coolant "T"'s that a 75 V6 uses, a Motronic pulley and the brackets for the alternator and power steering pump. I anyone has these parts, please let me know

Hè Jelmer, Welkom hier.

Why don't you use the 24v pulley? Make some brackets and use the 164 ancillaries like ps-pump and alternator.

If you then get the 2.5 flywheel balanced to the same unbalance as the 164 flywheel it's fine. Get the flywheel lightened at the same time.

Remco,
I might just do that because I already have the 164 alt and ps pump and the alternator is high amp.
The 2.5 flywheel is already lightend so that is a plus. What company in Holland is a good adres to have it balanced? Technotrans?

Thanks! I have a Megasquirt for it to put on in the future and I'm going to make my own exhaust manifolds like the CSC style.
