They sure look nice. Too much dome for my applications. What's wrong with them for you?

I thought he wanted oversized turbo pistons, and Ross made him EXACT replicas of the original pistons. so the dome maybe too much.

That's too bad, at least they look nice, and someone will probably need them for something. Ordering custom pistons for our engines from a manufacturer is always a little iffy. There seems to be a good chance of ending up with something you can't use.

You can get blanks from JE in any size you like and mill them yourself to get your own spec. At least you got control then....

Nah, let the ones who know how do it. No way I could mill inside a piston crown and be confident about it.

I'm quite confident someone will buy them though. :)

You think? :)
A lot of the harness work can be done at home actually, at least the ECU and the DL1 harness. But sure, I have quite a long list yet. The Fuel lines are done now btw, still need a tank and assemble the engine (once I get the pistons).
Good thing I got the cage done and painted at least.

Yep, most of the harness is in the car, well the wires anyway. Need to crimp some terminals and inline connectors. Fuse box found it's way onto the firewall, will be a very nice install once done I hope. :)
It was a very satisfying moment when I cut/ripped out the old wires.

Pics to follow.

Got some stuff done today, the intruments are pretty much ready to go back in just need some ring terminals for the illumination earth and hook up the signal wires that are already prepared. :)

The screws will be switched out and the piece of alu will be painted black. A couple of screws at the lower edge is coming too.
Image

The rear, the white wires are illumination.
Image

Shrink-tube with glue to take the strain and add some stiffnes, exra shrink-tube in the plus wires for insulation.
Image

It will be nice to get the instrument panel back in the car, it feels so much less of a car without it.

You know the feeling when you wake up and look outside and find a fantastic day and you're just have to go to the track? You feel really motivated to go to the garage and work on the car?

Today wasn't one of those days.

After digging out the car and buying some shovels and gravel to keep in the car I arrived at the garage...

Anyway, I finalized the instrument panel. Satin finish clearcoat and proper screws, just need to touch up the dash a bit.

Nice glare-free finish. :)

Then I went home and was greeted by the snow...

In total I have dug out three cars today, my own twice and a friends once.
They really SUCK at clearing snow here in the south of Sweden. :|
