Wow  great spy pics . Surprised it's not disguised even though you can place orders soon .
Hope they test in the high altitude African heat . Lots of cars fail there - mostly bmw diesel turbos , surprisingly .

Wow, that car looks really good. I think the Giulia is going to kill Maserati Ghibli Q4 sales, not that they were selling well here in the US anyway.

They have a nice V6 raspy sound, not line the Busso obviously but still sounds good.
I'll try to follow them on the ice some day and see how they behave and move.

They have a very masked Spider/124 too and a few other strange builds but they never move outside the proving grounds.

Last Saturday was my first proper track day since I started to rebuild the GTV, a loooooong time ago. I have been to the Ring but that is something else IMO. I have also done quite a few days on test tracks but that's also something else. At least I wasn't too rusty.
So I was back at Kinnekulle which I consider to be my home track to do the first outing of the 330i. I finally got a set of longer spring perches so I could adjust the rear height correctly. The camber and Toe was adjusted last year and I didn't have anything to measure with so I just ran with whatever it was, I still haven't checked it...
Anyway, I took it quite easy the first couple of stints checking tire pressure, deflating about 0.3bar after every session until I was finally stable at around 2.15bar. The car was incredibly stable and confidence inspiring and there were no strange sounds or warnings what so ever so I started pushing a little bit. At the end of the day I only did a small confidence lift under the bridge on the straight (just like in my race car) but I could probably have made it without lifting, so stable! I was only off my best time in the GTV by 0.6 seconds and this is without changing anything in the chassis. I had some understeer after getting up to speed and I'd love to have a limited slip...
Maybe could have shaved off a couple of tenths had I shut off the AC but it's so comfortable!
There were about 4 different Alfa 4C cars in my group (I'm not sure exactly, most of them were red...) and I was running about even with some of them and faster than some, quite a suprise. Fastest by far was a Bertone coupé with a Honda S2000 engine/drivetrain.
I had a camera in my car so I'll make a few videos as soon as I get around to it. Might take me a while because I'll be moving in about a weeks time, we bought a house! :D

Anyway, it was a great day and great fun to meet all my old friends (It was a Club Alfa Romeo Svezia trackday) and I got some laps in a temorarily mounted passenger seat in Jens Roos green Turbo GTV, lots of power and a Colotti box was quite different from my fully spec'd luxury saloon. Almost 4 seconds quicker on a minute long lap.

Honestly, I've had a beard since -92 except for two short stints, the last one was the time my avatar picture was taken.
Maybe I should replace it?

Hey Mats,

How has has your 330i held up so far? Any electric waterpump job recently? I found a nice blue (same as yours, I think Monaco) with 77K miles. I didn't buy it yet. The E90 looks alright, not as good looking as the E46, but the E46 is too old to own. It's an AUTOMATIC, YAY! Or I may get a lower mileage 325i and somehow convert it to 255 bhp. I think the hardware is the same except for some 3-stage intake and software.

San Francisco Bay Area traffic is killing my knees. Every day it's bumper to bumper traffic, even on weekends, so my screaming Accord Euro Type-S 6-speed manual is going to be sold soon. I need an auto. My average speed is about 20 mph. Ridiculous.

Looking forward to relocate to Truro, Cornwall in the next few years! Or maybe Brisbane and hook up with MD
