Does anyone have a picture of how the leather hand brake boot fits and is secured? Mine was in a pile of parts in the back of the car and I don't think its on there right. Thanks!

Mine has a funny bent bracket that's supposed to go around it and the boot just does not want to fit in it. I just want to confirm that I set it up the right way.
Sorry about the picture quality, my camera didn't want to take pictures in the dark.

Yeah...completely wrong, the metal retainer is on upside down ...should look like this
Retainer does go on top of the carpet, but the lip is on the topside so you can fit on the boot
It is possible that your boot has shrunk beyond proper fitment. I replaced my dried plastic one with a good leather one from IAP. Just wet the edges so the leather can stretch....then it dries tight
