Window roll up speed, as well as windshield wiper speed

Post by hutchensgd »

I have known for a long while that the windows go up and down slowly, but I just saw that my wipers are like too slow to even work in rain. Is there something which can be done?

Remove the wiper motor. Clean the old grease out of the gear box. It will probably be vey hard and dry. Regrease with a good quality grease. That should probably take care of your problem. I just did this on my '85 GTV6 and the wipers now work like new.
Good luck!

I used high-temperature bearing grease. It worked great.
