Awesome find Zamini, I've seen a few of those cars in real life around here. Never seen the GTV6 however :(

He does very well against V8's, is it a 3L GTV6 or 2.5?

Sounds like a 2.5. It's a historic class thingy and so I think it's probably a 2.5 with L-Jet. It's not terribly quick, but look at how it reeled all the other cars in the turns!

The IGNIS car is no longer stock, I think that's a 3.3L with some restrictors, but still about 300 bhp. This particular DULUX car, I THINK, is still a 2.5. But you should know better m8, you drink Fosters. :)

Yeah, that class (Group A) would have it close to Julians spec... the Blue Ford (Group C) probably only has 500hp (about my current motor). The class I'm aiming for I need about 600 crank hp to be competitive... with skinnier tires lol!

Good to see the Alfa Get up over the Ford though... would have been a different story if they were running the full circuit.... (Queensland Raceway)

Yeah but it doesnt sound like its revving as hard as mine.

Mine sounds better too  (that is my completely biased and unhumble, neh, almost arrogant opinion!)

But damn that thing is sorted... funny how much he loses to the VKs on the straight at E/Creek.... but he just reels em in after that. I would like to speak to old mate about his car. looks like fun!

awesome vids mate, thanks.
Ray Gulson is the Alfa dealer in Canberra so if you're really keen you can contact him. He's the Porsche dealer too.

That fkn Ford is so frustrating. So happy to see he won in the end.

Nope. Its an 8.
It ran Bathurst in 1976. Not sure if it was the car Dick Johnson drove, or if it was his team-mates car.

:D very nice. Im not surprised the gtv6 got the fords eventually, the fords looked like they handle about as well as a sponge. Im surprised at the GTV struggling with the 3 series bm's though, unless they are m3's, I would have thaught the power would have been similar. It would be interesting to know the full spec of this GTV, as it doesnt seem that quick.

Yeah that didnt make sense to me either- Ive absolutely demolished the two Alpina 2.7s Ive come across, and an alpina 325 too... my BMW friend reckons my engine would have a bit more than an E30 M3's too

I just watched the first video. It's awesome. The big Ford is definatly a V8 with at least 500 horsepower. It's a monster on the straights as most American V8s are. I was SO happy to see the GTV6 prevail.

Those straight cut gears are loud!
