I was watching some videos of the Silverstone Classic series, where you had old Jag sedans vs something as new as a 156 BTCC (not STW) class cars.
There was this video of a Sierra Cosworth RS500. IT was MASSIVELY outclassed by a FWD 156 BTCC car. This is not even the super hi tech 156 ITC/STW car. The BTCC is probably closer to Super 2000 series cars.
Just amazing how these older RWD cars are simply outclassed in the turns by a FWD (for God's sake, FWD!!!!!!) cars. 1987 champ vs 2000+ champ.
Re: New cars vs old cars
Sounds like they still use the original shocks and tires on the Cossie...
I'm guessing some kind of handicap system?

Re: New cars vs old cars
suspension tech came a long way between 1987 and 2000 and the BTCC car would be much more modified than a group a car - the cossie would be quicker on a straight but way worse everywhere else.
