My father passed away

Post by Greg Gordon »

Hey Guys,

Sadly my father passed away rather unexpectedly. I know a few people here had met him. He died of natural causes, and didn't suffer, but we certainly were not expecting it.

He was a hard core automotive enthusiast, mostly centering on Italian cars, but he had a strong backround in Studebakers, Renaults, and various 60's American cars.

Anyway, I'll be off the forum for a few weeks dealing with related issues. I'll be back, and when I am back I'll have some worthwhile posts to bring with me.

Hi Greg
I'm really sorry to hear . I always enjoyed reading his posts and it was just today I was reading his post in brake upgrades . I can see he has been your inspiration in cars just like my dad . I look forward to seen you back on the forum again .
Its truly a sad day for GTV forum guys who have got to know him through his posts but never met him in person .
Warmest regards
Kevin

Extremely Sad news! Condolences to you and your family.

My brother and I met him back in 2002 or around that time when he was in San Jose, CA. We ate dinner and talked cars. He took us in the first super verde. Very knowledgeable and pleasant man.

My father, also an Alfisti (GTV6 3.0, and project 156 V6 6-speed) is also an old man now, still alive and kicking, but he is feeling tired these days. He drove a Giulia Ti back in 1970 and never looked back. Hopefully he will live many more years to come.

Condolences again on your dad's passing.

I went through this 15 months ago... I know how it is. You must remember him for all he has done and all he was to you. May his memory guide you for the years to come.

Greg,

My dad has gone too. Last I heard, he was getting lessons off Tazio Nuvolari with handbrake turns on cloud #9. I am sure your Dad's in the grandstand watching the antics if not queuing up for his turn.
Heartfelt condolences mate to you and family.

My condolences too, to you and your family, Greg.

I'm mostly a lurker here, but you are obvious well known amongst Alfa transaxle enthusiasts around the world, and I am a long-time admirer and purchaser/user of your products.

Take care. :)
