Jim,

this might help in finding injectors, if you don't have already a list ..... injector list
bmw 3.5 240cc/min --> 0 280 150 701 could be a straight fit/replacement for the alfa 3.0l (0 280 150 702) how ironic :)

Saluti,

Hi Maurizio, thanks for the listing. The 0280150702 though is for the 164 fuel rail (clip-on) the 75 Motronic and SZ/RZ use 0280150257 (yellow,~16 Ohms) which is not in the list (??) All Jetronic engines use 0280150105, ~2.5 Ohms. The 0280150701 is also used in the 164 4v engines. These are ~16 Ohms. I have 12 of these, but I want the push-on type.

Maybe Greg Gordon has an answer to this one: what commonly used Bosch p/n has high R, about 240cc/min and the 75 push-on inlet?? 'Common' meaning a high production euro car (BMW,Renault, whatever).

Hmm thought V6 and TS motronic used the same injector.
The 0280150701 is a nice upgrade for a TS :D

http://home.online.no/~niande/diverse/a ... hdyser.xls and another list .....

& some google: (hose type, 16.15 Ohm: )
0280150254 injector Citroen CX 25, 05.86-12.92
0280150252 is a Porsche 928 injector
Not really high volume production :?

Hi Jim,
Not sure if this is of any help. The Porsche 944s
are all using the push on type of injectors. The green
ones from the turbo should be suitable for your application

Thanks a lot guys, it looks like I'm getting somewhere...cheap! Looking in the lists, fuel delivery of the 24v injectors (for an advertised 230hp) is the same as for the 12v engine ones (up to 200hp) This means that I can use the Motronic 12v injectors in the project engine, where I'm expecting somewhat more than 230hp. However,if we go by BSFC numbers, it turns out the 24v needs ~220-225cc injectors; how does it manage with 190cc ones :?: Unless the lists are wrong (and they differ between them)it doesn't make sense :?

They all operate 2.8-3.0bar. Its difficult for a 190cc injector to feed a 40hp cylinder...unless there is no 40hp!!! Maybe AR is lying about engine power figures (how original!!)
The strange thing is that the two injector lists Maurizio posted, both use 3bar test pressure and come up with different (~15%?) delivery :!:

Jim,Are you talking 2.5 24v or 30 24v??

30 injectors are 290 cc,same as BMW m3 3.2...

Mazda 20 egi 16valve,std injector,top feed=340cc,low imp.

The 12v 3.0 has the same injectors as the 75 TS, I have no idea about what the 24v has.

Jim, noticed the difference in the files, don't know the source :?
One thing I also noticed is that one file states cc/min other g/min.....

Somehow it must be possible to find some spec sheets of the Bosch service. I've looked at their site but can't find anything

ps TS and V6 motronic is not the same, can verify Jim's numbers in the following sheets:

Sorry guys...Maurizio found the explanation: cc is volume and gr is weight and everything works out if we consider fuel specific gravity (~0.75gr/ml) So the lists are good, but the question still stands: how does Alfa make 240hp with 190cc jobs? Maybe AR power figures include...VAT

Barry, I'm only talking 3liter 12v now. I'm saying the injector rating for the 12v 3liter is the same as for the 24v 3liter motor.
290cc??? Sounds TOOOO high.
I spent the afternoon cleaning a 2.5liter head for cutting up to be used as a valve pocket milling template. My plan was to cut out cyl#2 and use it for all the others...guess what? The damn head studs are NOT evenly spaced, I just found that out (never bothered measuring before)!! I'll have to mill extra stud 'channels' to accommodate the outer cylinders. I'll post pics when the 'tool' is ready. Damn, those JE's are giving me a hard time!

I guess it's the same mechanism that make it possible for certain tuners to tune the 75 t to 210Hp with std injectors...

Jim, does that 190cc flow match 0280150701. I checked the numbers on my 24v injectors last night.
I know that number differs from the 12v but can't remember the number.
