Bernie,

I have decided to be kind to you only 'cause you have the LOUDEST exhaust in town- so no counter punches.

Thought you worked in the big smoke hence it would be "down" on your return leg as I live on the south side. As for the book, it's the 4.

I think Iam running a temparature. I have managed to make a straight post.

Hehe, nicely turned around :D

My exhaust isnt *that* loud, is it? :) I TAFE it up on the Southside, might be close to whereever you are.

I know how you feel with the temp :( I've had the damn flu for aaages.

JimGreek wrote:Fedesyl, obviously the 24v flows a lot better. I have measured a very mild 24v modded head I did for my engine and its good for 146cfm at 11mm lift (to obtain more lift is difficult with the 24v, given the small 33mm followers, valve spring coil bind and valve guide height). When I finish (...) with the 12v, I will also measure the stock 24v. I estimate it to be ~140cfm intake. The problem with the 24v seems to be the exhaust, it has very little flow compared to the intake and needs some serious porting to go from ~96 ~to ~115cfm to keep 'proper' proportions between in/ex flow. We'll see when we get to it.

Any info from test bench regarding to exhaust? :)

No info yet on the 24v, as I first have to get all 12v business out of the way. However, seeing how all book material must leave soon, I may measure a std 24v 3liter head. What I hate most about this is the cleaning required...too much black dirty stuff in the exhaust ports!
