If you have put all the lifters from a fiat engine in your hand you know the drawback.

I'm not sure what you mean. Can you please explain what the drawback is. The fiat twin cam engine is a great engine and very reliable. I have owned a few.

The lifters alone weigh about 1Kg more then the Alfa ones with the lash-cap adjusters.

I understand your point of view now. Thanks for explaining it. I would prefer the Fiat style tappet over the Alfa. I could live with the extra wieght issues. It's an added pain to remove those cams and everything else associated with this job as you all probably know. I miss those old days when everything was easy to fix.
