Modified airbox

Post by Zamani »

Modified airbox with 4" intake pipe.

Final step is to weld everything up completely, grind the edges, and spray paint it. Should be completed in a few days.

nice Z,

why did you choose this route? why not make a pipe tipped by a cone filter a la Greg, but in metal? some nice defectors could provide sufficent cool air...

or is the milano pretty dead down there? assuming this was on one of course...

Zamani, the Air box looks good! I just have to ask...What the heck are you doing with that purge valve up there?

Hi Greg,

That's the PCV valve from a Toyota.

Joey,

Mate, I chose this route so the wankers in blue won't give me problems if they ask me to open the bonnet. Also it should make passing the emission test easier as it looks stock.

Zamani,

Dumb question I know and off topiuc, but is the "6C" on your Plenum unique to a Milano motor. I ask as there was a GTV6 Grand Prox for sale over here in Oz and I noticed the Plenum had the "6C".

I think the last of the GTV6's had a different motor.

Well Alfa is known to mix and match parts. Some 24V engines have 3.0 24V, some have V6 24V on the plenum. I'm not really sure if the 6C or V6 came on later 3.0s or 2.5s or whatever.
