Engine Weight

Post by 5yearplan »

Does anyone know how much a 2.5L 12v GTV6 engine weighs(Either as a complete assy. as pulled out of the car, or just the engine)? Also, the transaxle assy?

Cool project , good luck with the weight reduction. :D How much Hp are you shooting for? The car should be a beast when it's done if you ca get it under a ton, and a 10:1 power to weight.

if i can bring the weight down ill probably just change out the air intake setup and drop in some S cams and be done with it....a friend of mine has a lead on a wrecked 3.0 164 in someones front yard......that would be my ideal setup but the 2.5 in a light package should be fun as all hell being a light body and super small...its smaller than a early mini
