Hey,
As I attempt to restore a GTV6 to perhaps A- condition (I cant afford to create a museum piece)... I have a rust-free body with a 3.0 motor from a Milano. Eventually I would like to add a pair of performance headers for some extra HP. And am also considering mating a set of 4 cam heads from a 164 (if it seems a realistic endeavor).
Has anyone attempted the head swap?? I expect that the distributor location and some other solvable problems will arise... so my initial question is this:
With the new heads in place, is there still enough clearance for the hood to close? Or will the hood need to be altered to accomodate a possibly taller engine package?
Any other tips on this mod that you may have from your own experience would be appreciated, as well.
Cheers,
Peter

You may as well use the 24v motor.
Swapping heads won't do it, you need the pistons and more.
24v swaps are not uncommon now, look around the forum for a number of different ones all of which fit under a stock bonnet. It can even be done to fit under a 2L bonnet.
