gaskets

Post by bialbero-racing »

1 - I am struggling to find Alfa 75 V6 sump gaskets in the UK. by local dealer has it listed as no longer available.
2 - I am trying fit a V6-164 oil pump drive into a V6-75 block is this a straight swap or will parts need re-working first?

The 75 oil pump and 164 oil pump us a different oil pickup pipe. You will need to alter the 164 pipe to use it with the 75 sump.

Also the sump will need a bit of trimming on the inside of the front lip where it connects to the engine's front cover. the 164 oil pump sticks out a bit more to the front as a 75 pump and it hits the sump unless you grind a bit off.

And the last thing; the oilpump shaft of the 164 has a nut on the top to hold down the gear that drives it. the 75 has no nut since the dizzy is on top of that gear and keeps it down. you need to come up with a solution for that.

for the gasket go to www.tuynder.nl and then to the catalogus. i/m pretty sure they have it in stock.
Drive it like you stole it...
