Sweet!
I wish I could say you're the only one who has ever made a stupid simple mistake. But I can't.

Re: Piston rings What do you use?
Just to update this.....
I've been using it up in the mountains and on the 60 mile daily commute and the rings did finally seat. I still need to check compression, but I'm not burning oil like I had been when hard on the gas at high revs.
I put my Greg Gordon intake with the bigger AFM and K&N airfilter on for the first time since I found the spark problem. This made a noticeable difference!! I had been using the 2.5 AFM so I could get the car through the smog check. The car has to look stock and that bright yellow silicone hose just doesn't quite do that trick.
I'm really happy with it right now!
I'm still making gradual changes though. I have a set of 27mm torsion bars to put in and I'm working on a spare set of intake runners to bring them to JimK's 39mm size. I also went into the rear light boards and soldered all the rivets and tabs so I now have good turn signals and all.
