Hey guys, so the other day i was wrapping my headers and when i pulled them off i noticed that my dashboard sided cylinders on both banks (i think cyl no. 3 and 6) both had a decent amount of oil in them. aswell as on the bolts for both these cylinders.
what could cause this?
Also could this be the reason my car is smoking at idle?

Leaking valve seals, worn piston rings, cylinders, pistons would be my guess. Maybe a clogged carter vent.

could be an improperly tightened cam cover gasket, or defective one. or oil pressure sender leaking oil in the back of the V.

I hope its not what you think it is gtv-racer! because thats exactly what i think it is and is alot more work and money than i want to spend right now :(

ill check the cam cover, but how do i check the oil pressure sender?

Check the rear of the engine close to the bonnet latch of the GTV6, particularly close to the V. If it's very very oily, then most likely the pressure gauge sender to maybe pressure light sensor is leaking a bit of oil.
