How do you identify the 3 liter motors. I understand there is a casting mark on the cylinderhead? What am I looking for to identify 2.5 or 3.0? Thanks for the help Pierre

Pierre,

The 2.5 or 3.0 is cast at the rear of the RH head against the firewall. Get a piece of paper and with dirty fingers press it against the casting. You should get an impression like this.

i always got a mirror on a stick with a flashlight and tried to catch a glimpse of the 3.0 or 2.5 casting. I like the dirty fingers trick!

...you also have 3.0 litre stamped on the engine block in the starter-motor area.
