Ok,looked at the pics...those are 164 /m3 injectors..good.
The leads are Bougicord from here..theyre resistor leads...You dont want to run a resistor plug with them.
Any plug with an "R" in the number is a resistor plug.Swap them out for an
NGK BP6ES...NOT BPR....

Stick them in and take the car and give it an "Elaborato!!"Thats an Italian tune up..drive the crap out of it..within reason of course..Good 200km/h run for a minute or two..or three ...Full revs through the gears...make the engine work.

Check the plugs again..If theyre still oily and gunged up you have a problem..

How have you run the engine in??pussy footing all over or have you given it stick??
Perhaps we should take this off forum and e-mail... :?:

hahahaha.....Barry, wish I could take the car to 200 km/h on Western Australian roads. "Hoon Laws" just got introduced and anyone exceeding 45 km/h over the speed limit (Speed limits are about 100 km/h on freeways and 110 km/h on country roads will get their car confiscated and most likely spend a day in lock-up :)

Barry,

I tried the map and motor didn't like it as much? I noticed the Trigger Tooth row was 14 on mine and 15 on yours.
Also, was your tune done in Johannesburg where it's about 6000 ft above sea level?

Maybe I'll post you my map and you can see if there's anything abnormal on it.

Cheers :)

Brian,Yes,All are for our altitude..The basic settings should remain the same.Get your basics and put them in with the new data maps.
A trigger tooth difference of 1 is like 6 crank degrees!Seriously out..
Whats the news on those plugs??

So what's the 6000-feet elevation issue? Surely if it's MAP based it doesn't care what elevation it is since it only cares about pressure?

Mats,To get a sea level map in first you have to go to sea level..Yes,we can sit and thumb suck an additional 17% onto the existing maps for when the system sees higher pressures, but it really should be mapped properly at sea level..

Brian,Ill have squizz at your data tonight.. 8)
