Auto Italia Motorsport day has come again and somehow the GTV race cars are still a strong favourite in the main display area . Later on in the morning we took the cars over the road and did a few laps on the mercedes Benz test track . Was good fun to catch up and talk bollocks to all the usual suspects.
Richard Melvin and I catching up after a few laps on the track . Pity the Lambo in front was slowed down by the Merc health and safety officials as we were warming up for some good sprints !
Some pics to follow .

Update : car is running perfectly but as projects always evolve my next plan is to change the rear differential from the 13:47 ( 3.61 ratio) which I took from the Alfa sedan and replace it with the E36 M3 Diif .
If I had a high reving 3.2 motor I would probably leave this differential in but with my 3.7 which i tend to short shift at 5500rpm I'm going to copy my mates twin turbo set up and build a cage to house the M3 type 188 differential . ( 3.15 ratio )
I have investigated getting another crown and pinion made which is very difficult as it's an offest hypoid type with estimate cost of 3k so thought it would be much cheaper to make a simple bolt In conversion as in pics below .

Nice work Kevin, I've often wondered why people use the sei diff considering its weight when the Bmw option is easy to find many ratios and I'm sure would end up lighter if built well. Plus the serviceability and strength

To reply to wondering everyone use Sei diff .. Was it is very simple bolt in conversion with your brake set up all in position ... Also there were loads of Sei spares in South Africa .
Bmw spares then we're very very expensive especially when sourcing an M car for the LS while the Sei comes with one .

I had to close in my doors for MOT purposes as the don't like open doors even though all the webbing and bracing had been cut out . There was no possibility to get your arm stuck but anyway i just got a neat light solution using 1mm plastic , carbon wrap , some Audi plastic clips , door pull straps to close , heat gun and some time .
Some pics to follow
