Actually I'm thinking about buying Trackvision, it overlays anything you want from logging data and you can make you own "dash" design. 120USD or something, not expensive anyway (just compare it with a brake pressure sensor from RT  )

Mats,

A small photo suggestion.
If you want to match the level of illumination INSIDE the car to that of the OUTSIDE scenery, you need to add some interior lighting because the difference in the contrast ratio is too great for any camera.

Controlling the light levels inside the car will also eliminated dark spots and provide greater detail of gauges etc.

Thanks for the video just the same.

I don't, I just wanna spotmeasure and lock the camera to the outside light and the inside will be whatever it is. Gauges? speedo doesn't work (wire vs. elec), rpm doesn't like the MSD ignition amplifier and the oil pressure, water temp and fuel level is utterly uniteresting.
However, I am working on getting som graphic overlay (like on the onboard F1 shots) that would provide interesting stuff like speed, rpm, and some other stuff like maybe G's, gear, wheelspin, slip angle, position, throttle position and so on.
It's evolving, won't happen tomorrow but some day... :)

Videos from the racing on this Saturday at Gelleråsen in Karlskoga/Sweden. Nice and sunny weather but not too hot, perfect for racing!
Gelleråsen doesn't really suit my car, you need power to be cometitive there and I don't have any. :x

Anyway, enjoy the videos and be sure to note my serious brain fade episodes when I downshift to third instead of second and such. :?
No real drama on my behalf but there is some smoke and dust episodes.

Race 1 65Mb] Widescreen, you need to be able to se the media player to 16:9 mode. VLC supports this for instance but for you poor people using Windows Media Player might wanna download the following link instead.

Race 1 [65Mb] 4:3 version.

Race 2 [63Mb] Widescreen, see above.

Race 2 [63Mb] 4:3 version.

Feel free to comment/mock me. ;)

Maybe the file size is the problem? Did someone watch the videos?

Google Video link to video of the first race

Second will follow, Google is processing...

Yeah I watched them. It looks frustrating not to have the power to keep up on the straights.

Mats,

Was that the Moberg car which passed you in race 2? In one of the 90 degree turns, it seemed somebody gave you a body check.

Also, the red 75 in front of you, was it a TS? Pretty fast! And the Sud Sprint Cloverleaf, looks like a 1.7? Don't tell me it's a 1.5 twin carb? Fast too!!

Great camera setup!

TS_Turbo: I have a std 2.0 carb engine, 131Hp. :? Gimmie money and I'll fly past them all.

Zamani: Mobergs old car yes, if you look in the rear view you can see a 156 Challenge car, that is Johan Moberg in his new car.
Which turn was that? No contact anywhere actually, my brakes were shot the second half of Race 2 so that's why I miss the braking sometimes.
The red 75 is a 3.0, might be QV spec. That's why he disappears on the straight.
I have no idea what he did to that Sprint during the winter, you might recall that I was battling him pretty hard last year on Kinnekulle? Now he is just miles ahead, good thing we are in different classes. :)

Camera setup is excellent as you say, I even made the mount to fit a dual cam setup, one front and one rear. So if I trip over a pil of money I'll get a second one. 8)

Great video! Seems like a bit of brake lock up - enough to flat spot the tires? Congrats on the first place.

How did the newly converted 24v GTV6 do?

What's the spec on the 156 that semi-missed the start, but picked up?

BTW, cool to be able to see the chasers in the video (in the mirror).
