AJUSTABLE adjustable torsion bars

Post by ar4me » Mon Dec 12, 2005 4:18 pm

Has anyone considered something like this? The picture is from Bianchi-Kopp in Germany, and the item is listed for all the transaxle Alfas 72-94. The stock system is a true pain to fine adjust, IMHO.

Looks a lot like the factory system on my 1972 Dodge.

On the Milano..... would be tough. Hypothetically speaking, you have to revert to longer torsion bars and mount it behind the already welded-on torsion bar subframe. For earlier 116 cars, it should be bolt on.

Do you know how much it cost ?

This looks like the same encore bridge used by Autodelta in the alfetta racing days.

No, though I did asked, in particular for their aluminum lower a-arm, upper control arm, and upright.

BTW, the pic above is of their steel version. They also carry an aluminum version, but didn't have any pics on-line.

Yep, this is also homologated for the GTV. Available in steel or aluminum.

However, the price is high enough to pay for a coil over system instead so if rules allow I'd save the 10 kg and go for the coil overs. And like Z'man said it is only for the long torsion bars.
