Let´s start atopic where we can share some knowledge and some other things that seems obvious to us but...maybe the other guy on the other side of the planet never thougth of...

Starting with a simple mod that makes big difference when doing some maintenace job.

Paint your transmission parts in a bright colour for easy leaks spotting.

If they´re black...you won´t notice the leaking oil.

Now I have a simple question...

When going out on a Track Day / Race...if we are lucky enougth to have sponsors ...what can we do to remove the vinil stickers off our 75/GTV without damaging the paintwork?

Best way to remove vinyl stickers is to heat them with a hair dryer and peel them off.

Vinyl stickers? You mean if you need to put temporary stickers on only to peel them off the next day?
Easy, just get the backing paper off and put the sticker on your shirt a couple of times to make it full of fuzz, then it will stick enough to keep it on the car but wont rip the paint off when you remove it.

I´ll try it this week-end on our track day.

Another tip:

When racing or track-daying...never park your car with the hand-brake after the run...it will fuse the pads into the discs...

Why not try the magnetic type of "paper". Well it's not paper, but a magnetic sheet. Last time I put numbers on my car it peeled of the clearcoat. Becareful.

Yeah, but oftern here you get handed a set of series-specific stickers when you pass scrutineering and these can vary over the season so no way am I going to sit down and make my own magnetic specials.
Also, those stickers would easily weigh a couple of kilos...

Keep the car clean and waxed. Then the stickers come off easily.
For magazine work we always use stickers and never had any problems getting them off.
