Nice car. I remember those pics from a few years back? What has it run?
I was never a fan of drag racing. Some people just like to brag about how much Hp they have. Once i bought a vehicle with turbo and awd. I started to like it. Its fun to take the car to the track. You are always foing to find idiots in all kinds of racing. Then you find people that are just plain idiots.
Off topic. I do know that swedes are crazy. But have you guys ever heard of Robban (robert)Pothorchi? Races a gmc truck. He is From Molndal. He won king of Europe in Drag racing.

And I personally think that's what makes it so brilliant.

How often do you see a project like this where they've retained the originally body shape, but when you put the hood the engine is from a completely different manufacturer? I see it regularly here in Australia with cars such as Datsuns, people like the shape (and/or lack of weight), but the stock engine sucks so they drop in 2JZE from a Supra or a SR20DET from a Nissan. I have to give this guy huge respect for keeping the original engine (albeit with some...changes..). Someone needs to keep us updated on the times down the strip when he gets there. Sure drag racing isn't what Alfas were built for, but an Alfa pulling 7s or 8s from a 2L 4cyl is highly impressive.

Oh I know you weren't bagging it out, I was simply stating that in my eyes, keeping the heart...ah...original...is a mighty impressive thing to do.

I guess though it's like most serious race cars of any high level sport, they're not really anything like the original. It's like the V8 Supercars here in Australia, the only thing somewhat similar to the roadgoing Falcon or Commodore model is that the shell dropped over the car is the same shape, that's about it.
