roll cages- tieing in the front end

Post by benski105 »

i was wondering if anyone out there has built a roll cage that ties in the front "strut" tower? ie the braces running up the inner guard that the shock mounts to?

also anyone who has done this, is it a worth while exercise?
i was thinking of making a bolt on/off brace that ties the front braces together that runs back to the firewall with a mounting plate that attaches to the roll cage.

are there any theories or suggestions out there as to the best solution?
that whole area in the front look quite strong to me, i was planning on making a brace that supports the front sway bar mount as i have heard this is prone to cracking.

the car is going to be a circuit car-

cheers
