JJ, As you are running a similiar injection system to me(my 3.2 GTA 116) in terms of using a 155 coil pack with semi sequential firing - wasted spark I would like to know how long your spark plugs are lasting. Mine did 300km only which is obviously seriosly wrong. The problem lies within my leads, suppressor and connection point to the 155 coil pack which only measures 2.5 kohms. I have been told change my suppressors to at least 20kohms . If the leads are cold the car is great but after hard driving it starts to misfire. I noticed this detrioration in performance and immediately blamed the fault on my haltec system like most people do when they cant find the problem. Anyway I brought this up here incase you start getting any misfire problems and start stripping elsewhere. I am using NGK bcp plugs. Can you let me know what yours measure.
Cheers
Kevin

Sounds like a start-up plug. I'd go colder.

Hey Kev!

With the 11.9:1 motor and race gas Dawie recommends at least an 8, but preferable a 9...

Unfortunately I have not done enough running with the motor in that car to draw any conclusive ideas about the 155 coil-packs and the GoTech and that motor... When I do, will respond here again!

JJ, found the problem with regards to chainging sparkplugs like underwear so need to worry about 155 coil pack set up(not that you were). Problem was the home trigger in my hall pick up sensor which was faulty(bad ,rusty connection). This threw the injector phasing right out and toatly overfueled the plugs when out of phase.I destroyed a set of plugs in 50km's. Anyway all sorted. Bottom line its never the system, its about maintenance.
Whats happening on your car at the moment.

Not much. Ron has been here visiting for 5 weeks and we made trips to California to hang out with ol' Jes and skiing up at Mt. Baker etc...

Open house at Group 2 today (visits to the collections next door at John Goodman Racing, Bill Cotter's and Ken McBride's...) Ford RS200, Jacky Ickx 312, original GTAs, things like EFI Corvette #1, the French Connection Le mans Vette, 410 SA (Super America), a 500 Superfast, GTs, GT40s, Ford Big Block Cammer motors (SOHC 427 - 2 of 5 or so built are next door - one in a boat and one in a Galaxie), etc etc.

Ron leaves on Sunday and then I can get back to work on completing the 3.7. Got the 6-speed GTA-boxed 3.45 litre 24 valve 164 LS (Super) going now too and need to do some sorting there as well.

So, don't know if anybody cares, but Jes and I finally had these two beasts out on the track at Pacific raceways together last Thursday! What a rush...

JJ, we sure would like to see some pics. They have got to be fast as i have just been reading a full road test(Oct. speed&sound) they have just done here on a one of Dawies 3.7 156's.(road car) 0-60km 2.99sec, 0-100 5.26sec, 0-260kmh 36.6 sec. and im sure yours is much quicker. You got to pay serious attention on the track with that power.

So - I don't understand it (and yeah - I could have glued a video to my car), but in the days leading up to all of this, we arguably had a bit more to think about than mounting cameras or who would be holding a video camera track-side...

Sorry guys - no video of the two 3.7s then I guess. Still, here are some pics; mine has the black wheels & black dials and Jes' has the white wheels & silver/white dials... Brad's blue car is the hot 12 valve 3.0 with the wing and Keith has the red 2.5 with the serpent on the side. Chris' is the black 2.5 with the snow-plow upfront and big gay wing on the rear as well.

I'll get some video next time.
