Well it was our final race of the season on Saturday and the car held up superbly again . Coming to the conclusion maybe the project 2 with gearbox upfront might be a waste of time :( .
I managed to sneak in a 2nd for the day in a 33 car field with fastest qualifying in the morning . We ran two reverse grid heats and one scratch race . Only after the whole season and in final race of the day did I start to learn how to really push the 3.7 hard . Anyway it was to late and missed out on beating the two Cobras . But I guess thats what hobby racers are about and seperate me from the more serious guys.
Value for entertainment this car has scored 10/10
Some pics . I finally got hold of DVD of 2nd last race which I will begin to upload sometime .

I did a service on the 3.7 a few weeks ago . Just some pics to show the cam profiles and how to set cam timing when you on own and dont have cam blocks . I just keep the cams on the marks , set the belt tension , tighten up all the pulleys then rotate the engine twice and recheck marks . (firtsly the motor was on tdc to start off with marks i had previously made)
At least on this set up there is space to fit belt behind pulley without having to take it off like on the chain driven oil pump type 24v motors.

Some more pics using the marks on cams to set up. The cam block dont help anyway with the cut cams, as these can move within the original profile.
