We had a great weekend at Laguna Seca. I will report more later. I'll post one photo first.
My car is the blue one, and my brother's the white one. The white one is Jes Thyssen's ex-car.
I had 215/40/17 Dunlop Z1 Star Spec. These are AMAZING tires. Controllable, but ultimate grip is not comparable to Toyo R888, Dunlop DJ01, Bridgestone RE555 etc.
I did a 1:54.23 (AMB Transponder) on Friday, but Saturday's competition was quite fierce so i could have done a little bit faster, maybe a 1:53+ chasing down and passing an M3 3.2 with race tires. On the straights, the M3 didn't have a chance, but in the corners it was a good match.
My car now has 11:1 compression and the cams properly dialed in and the top end power is quite good. It's not blistering fast, an STi is a little faster still.
