All jokes aside, a bold project for you Kevin and I hope it is worth the effort. Time will tell. I am sure the journey is as much fun as any project before and then some...

I only have a general reservation. These GTV shells are getting scarce -not that they ever were in abundance. I have no doubt that this experiment could just as easily been done with a 75 sedan which there are more of ATMO. I am sure you have your own special reason and I respect that.

I think the 75 was never sold in South Africa, that would make it even more scarce than the GTV6 over there.

Just thought I'd add some industrial style info to your adapter.

Acceptable misalignment for some thing spinning at 6500rpm (the fastest spec I could find for heavy industry): 0.02mm or less.

I hope that adapter is very accurately made.

Duk ,The adaptor will be perfect . Were on version two to get it perfect . The dowel pins on block fit dowel pins on box and it just happens that the guy who is making the adptor specialize in it for twenty years . We using countersunk cap screw bolts this time to get perfect flush fit . I will post detail pics later .
MD, There are many reasons why use the GTV here as it goes back to the glory days when they won every title here , so the shape has a major history here in SA . Parts are rare BUT they are so much easier than Giulietta and Alfetta . We never got the 75 or 90 here but I'm sure if we did we would be equally modifying the 75 .
This particular GTV I am using was an abandoned shell . I decided to buy it as I also have enough spares to rebuild it totally . Technically speaking will still have all components in it that belong from an alfa or a supplier that supplied alfa except the tunnel . On the tunnel I am thinking to laser a thin plate with the alfa insignia on it and weld to tunnel . Will try not to make it cheesy but look like an original part .
I have two sets of awesome rims which I have kept in storage which I want to use . The one set comes off an ex GTV touring car gtv from UK which got handed down .
Luckily,when I am finished this project I will still have the white race car which I am currently building a 12v 3.0 engine to our SA group one specs and the stock standard original GTV 3.0'carbureuted road car so I won't feel to guilty cutting up this GTV .
These projects are financially possible here in SA as you don't pay a fortune for some one to make you a part , mould a panel or hire a pro welder for the day . I think if I did this in the UK I would cost the same as a small house - so totally not feasible . Also helps doing most of the work yourself so labour is kept to a minimum .

The mounts will be cut in from the top so the diff will hang . You can adjust the height of diff depending on lenght of the bolts. The rest of bracket off once its all in place then neaten up.

Some update pics. Cant see much change but been doing a lot of cleaning of welds and also bring the front inside arch back 30mm as this always got in way when fitting wide rubber . Also cut bump stop shorter for the coil over to clear better as these bilsteins were going to have much longer travel than the RS .
