G, I'm pushing to have car ready for 1st at Z. Suspension change is taking longer than I thought.

Are you sure you want to do floorboard and boot area black as it will get seriously hot in the Highveld sun in pre race paddock . Rather light grey or red . Obviously boot makes no difference . At least if their is overspray you won't notice .

I was inclinded to go red, but most people were saying go black, I'm pretty indifferent to the color of the floorboard. What you say about the heat does make sense. I still have the dark brown carpet should the heat become an issue, or I'll just repaint it grey or white .

Well then more importantly if its a street car make it same colour as car as that's how the cars came out even if you put carpets all back in . Better for resale if ever you do .

Autoshop was locked up and everybody had gone home when I got there to see the progress. I suspect they've already spayed the floorboard black, we can always address this later.

Got her back from the Autobody shop on 3 May no time to assemble her this week as I need to get my race car ready for the 10 May at Kyalami.

Took the car home and parked it under the car port and plan to start assembling in mid May and hopefully have it completed by the end of May.

Jose that's looking good . If you put cover on car just don't let the sun get it as the new paint will stick to cover . They normally say don't put cover on for first three months on new paint . I did have an issue before . The car is looking very good . You are soon going to have a good collection of GTV 3.0 . One wide body TT , one street track car , and your white one which will be concours soon .

Yea right Warren. Last time I took a car to you guys to fix the headlights the car went on a major diet and lost over 200kg..............and now i have to put it all back.........and the F%^$$^ lights still don't work............will be bring it back to have them lights fixed.

Ha ha it's good to see nothing has changed in the workshop . Really do miss the braai ( barbie) you have on fridays and the burnouts in the parking area courtesy of Domingoes in the 3.4 TT . Speaking of that is Domingoes gonna come back and race that monster this year .

The vents on the inner guards were used on Turbodelta chassis to extract hot under bonnet heat out through the wheel arches. I n Australia a few late model (plastic bumpered) GTV's also had this

3 months later and finally work has resumed on the car. Thanks to the 2 outings with the race car without incident so I've now got time to dedicate to this project. We've now progressed and have 2 headlight engineers (Warren & Paul), 2 bumper assembly engineers (Dixie & Josie) a design engineer (Joe) a team chef (Enid) a Project engineer (Kevin) and team director (Dommi).
