You gonna have to name these GTV build days . Seriously huge fun with mega braai ( barbi) food in reach, fine alcohol , deserts and piecing together the beloved GTV . The problem is you gonna have to keep up this high standard of food to keep the employees coming back . :D .
By the way which wheels you gonna use ? ( that's not on the drinks cart either)

As for wheels, i'd like to use the ones currently on rears, as road car wheels. They are the 17" wheels donated by Dommi, challenge is we only have 3 so I'll be shopping around for 1 more. They came off a 156 Ti.

For track days I have the option of the 16" widened A-Line rims, or the standard 15" 2.5 Rims currently on the front.

The 16 " are really nice but you won't find semis for them . The 17 are also cool but again the semis we have in SA are to limited and your rolling circumference will be way out . Check again from First race what they have in stock . That's the problem living in the third world :D

So, I like the 17" - I am looking for a set for me - so I can use with "road tyres".... I put on the standard 15" GTV2.5 wheels on my car the other day (195/60) - (needed to get some work done on my 15" race wheels - )...

Now, as u know, I have the 3.2 GTA motor in mine... well, I must tell you, the most AMAZING fun.... SERIOUSLY, wheel-spin in 2nd AND 3rd, when hit the max torque in a STRAIGHT LINE!!!!! was like driving a solid axle V8!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

oops - just realised I usurped your post... sorry - was excited

Kevin, the 16" currently have 245 street rubber on, but needs to be 265 to fit snuggly onto the rim. If i recall I've seen 265 semi's the question is are they avialble in 16" in RSA.

Guiseppe, have fun, life is already too serious. I battle to get wheel spin in 1st........ with the 330 rubber on the car.

But now with all the remaining 166's in SA that you just bought up , I can see blue smoke coming from those tyres with some engine transplants :D
Pity I can't send you tyres as there is a law on importation of tyres in SA . 16" is still the best size with our suspension set up .

Now we can have a proper view of the look of the car with the different rim set up.

The family prefers the look of the 17". What's the verdict?

For track days I'll certainly be sticking to the 16", they've been widened to take 265 rubber.

The dish on the 16" sure suits the era of rims from the period of these cars . Have to say I would choose those16" anytime .

The 16s are a nicer wheel I think... The 17s fill the arches better, though!
Car looking great!

Giuesppe, that 3.2 sounds like my kind of donk!

If you go for the 17"s you need to drop the car about 50mm...

Thanks Mats, I'd noticed it was signifcantly higher and had measured a about a 70mm, but with the front spoiler on, 50mm is probably the safer and mor practical way to go for road use.

Are you putting those 33mm hollow torsion bars in ? If your set up is soft as you are using it as road track car then must put your standard SA sump guard on . Try aim for 14cm under front jacking points and 16cm rear . If your higher than that then maybe consider entering into next Dakar rally in South America :wall: :D and see if you can beat giniel .
On more serious note - you see all the the go faster (stop quicker) bits that's for sale by Konrad .
