Yes I met Steve (Dymoke) . He's very friendly chap and he mentioned he is in process of building another 156 based on this one . These guys come to the track with just their family who all assist in the car preparation etc .
I realised I could actually enter in this series with a 1984 GTV 3.0 to the original group 1 specs . Their were a couple of eighties touring cars in this race including an old leyland . But I'm not sure how much fun it would be to race at the back of the field .

The Francia /Schessler 75 EVO TURBO 75 is that the RHD car that was built for Colin Bond in Australia but was not delivered due to changes in aGRP A rules? IF it is its the only one built with independent dedion supported in a cradle

Got a bit excited and clicked post 3 times :)

Interesting to see that putting the power down early (and effectively) makes such a difference!

Reviving this thread.

Does anybody know if the supertouring/s2000 suspension components are available to buy anywhere?
I struggle to lower my track 156 GTA car without compromising the roll centre so i am looking into options to adjust the geometry of the double wishbone.

Also adding a photo of a S2000 car to contribute to the thread :)

I would contact Neil at NJS Alfa in Pershore UK as he looks after and runs a few of these old touring cars . Looking forward to this years Silverstone classic .
Got any pics of your GTA ?

Why not fabricate your own parts, i modified my 156 a lot and all is homemade. Made lower arms with unibal and raised them at the subframe 10mm and mowed the upper alu piece that holds the upper arm more out and rotate it to gain more caster and less camber (i made lower arms longer and wheels 40mm more forward and had over -4 camber)

she weights 1040kg with 3.0v6 engine and all stuff removed and front of the car (crashbeam) cut away and made in alu

rear arms alu with unibals and homemade antirollbar 21mm

and so much more, everything is tweaked from engine to suspension, body etc...

mechanical grip is enormus:
