I found this pic the other day and was wondering if Alitalia ever did sponsor the GTV in the eighties . Always something about a white GTV with lively livery .
This now has to be the " best " GTV race car I've seen .
Please post your favourites :D

No old livery here but current decals on Warrens(7) and Giuseppe GTV . Pic taken just before Joemart blasted past the 12v3.0 with his 3.2 24v

I see this replica progressing really well and will be in action at Goodwood next month . Will update pics with its new rims and old style rubber on .
Pic is a bit grainy as I had no flash .
Really good fuel cell with one way flaps in side and filled with foam . Might be an idea for your car Matt as I see you thinking the tank at the moment .
Now what's impressive is the heated windscreens that are been made for this car and a few other gtv that are now being built to go historic racing , so no need of a heater . Its about time they were done and the price was pretty fair ( about 20% more than a standard priced one)

Me? That tank doesn't look like it has a holographic FIA-sticker like I need...
Also, unless I have a remote filler outside the car I need to make the trunk sealed to the driver cabin. Too much work!

Mats let me know if you get custom tank or you find one that fits pretty well in the GTV . I'm looking to change mine .

Some pics I dug up of Lella Lombardi Jolly Club GTV . I think Chris has done a brilliant job replicating this car as seen from pics above .

Pretty damn amazing!!!!

Lella Lombardi was one of the 2 well known female Alfa driver, the other was Tamara Vidali (155 and 33) in the Italia series.

I wish someone would campaign the ex-Andy Rousse GTV6 in the SIlverstone Historic! Anyway, back to the topic

I understand in order to race in this series the replica cars must be from 1982 or before which counts the Andy Rousse GTV out . The next car that's in the build will be a replica of the yellow Luigi car . It will be one of the earlier ones which did not have extra ducting holes in the front spoiler .
Here is the pic of the GTV that's gonna be used and a pic of the colours its gonna end up in . As you can see huge amount of work to do starting off with stripping car .

Its amazing how stiff the suspension is in that pic or how limiting the font anti roll bar was .
Does anyone know the specs of the torsion bars that were used in these cars?

It appears there have been different suspension set ups and rules over the years on these Luigi cars . Early models had brake ducting under the spoiler while this one is in the spoiler . Note the body roll on these two cars .

Some race videos of Chris's replica Lella Lombardi GTV
http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=zFrNBgyL4lg
And main video . This car runs with standard torsion bars , standard callipers and discs . The rear was binding as you can see from some of the lock ups on rear .
No mods to the engine either . The car runs onto the bump stops into the corners . I am surprised they make them use those Dunlop tyres as those were not even period for that GTV .
