What do you find are the best spark plugs around? What HT system do you use?

I like NGKBP7ES. I think if you have an ultra powerful system which can give 200 mJ per spark, maybe NGKB9ES with >0.030" gap. HT leads? Magnecor is good, cheaper than stock.

NGKs are nice because they are cheap and easily found.

Have to agree Zamani. NGK's are a top plug I have been using them for years. Was just curious if there was something "new" around .

I also like NGK's, top notch.

Z: Why would you want to go colder if you don't have to? 7 is working beautifully in a very wide range of engines, my 75 t loves them. :)

I agree. Although I found the EV to be better. A bit more expensive though. I dunno about availability these days. And I use 8 instead of 7.

I actually have EV in my GTV, 7 though, but the engine is not really tuned...
The EVs are not really cheap though and EGV is even more expensive.

I found that the ground electrode in the NGK B9ES I used, wear much faster than the Champion N2C in the 3liter. (I do have a 210+mJ/spark CD). These are very cold plugs, but are perfectly clean all the time, they are my standard plugs from day 1 in the 11CR engine.
I recently heard that Iridium plugs are good for up to ~5hp in a 3liter, so I will fork out for a set in my preferred heat range and visit the rollers. Personally, I'm not too optimistic about such claims!
