No Problem, anything specificMD wrote:Congratulations.
Would you care to share some information about you car that other Alfa racers may benefit from?
It is an '92 Imola, original 1.8 injection. The engine is an '87 1.8 turbo.
This race I experimented with front mounted intercooler (serial) from renault, but was no succes! (only 0,95 bar , normaly 1.2)
Standard Engine with fast chip, Evo manifold and powerboostvalve (fuel pressure). K&N open airfilter. Forge dumpvalve (disabled in race 3 and 4, but you can hear it in race 1 and 2, also on youtube.com) Dumpvalve came out of a Subaru, but opened on 0,8 bar...
Gearbox of an 2.0 TS with 50% LSD. RS suspension kit. 125kg front and 70 kg rear springs with orginal torsion bars.
Brakes are standardMD wrote:What are you using for brakes? Callipers, pads, rotors.
I hope it's not what Barry uses. He's got a big hole in the floor and when he goes racing , he puts on an extra thick pair of soles on his sneakers and does a Fred Flinstone !!
..love your work Baz. ha ha
Brakepads Ferrodo 3000 Racing front (endurance, last longer)
Rear Ferrodo 2500 (Hard type) (also last longer).
The balance in my car is so good, the default brakes do OK!
Also the car weights less than it used to do
This has already made it up to YouTube. I don't know how it got there! Anyway, this is me in my 1988 75 3.0V6. It's got a completely stock 164 12-valve engine, along with the Motronic injection system.
It's really a street car; has a full interior, stereo and working A/C. However, it's very quick for what it is owing mostly to a few key changes I've made:

- 4.10:1 gearset
- Brembo 4-pot calipers from a Porsche 944Turbo
- Beninca 29.7mm torsion bars, springs and matched Konis
- Hoosier 205/45/16 R-compound tires
A couple of new videos from yesterday.
As usual, the yellow stripes indicate the group, I'm in group 3.
New feature: Rear view mirror for the camera.
Race 1
Race 2
Double win!
I'll make some better quality ones later, need to sleep for about a week first...

Thank you.
I'll try to get the rear view in a better pos next time, the angle is a bit low but if I raised it the headlining is in the way so the mirror needs to be moved down a bit on the windscreen. It does answers some questions regarding why I sometimes don't drive "the perfect line" or why I do silly mistakes [stress!].
But as I have said before, half the race is behind the car...

Tell me about stress....... I recognize the precise steering when you're chasing someone down, but to be the hunted is a whole different ballgame! I'm going at it again this wednesday at the track of Assen (the dutch motoGP track).
