Brake/clutch cylinder replacement?

I was looking at some of andrew's pictures ( 
) of his brake and clutch master cylinder setup on the blue GTV6 and am wondering what is an ideal set up for a track car? This looks like an interesting set up: Tilton petal/cylinder setup on ebay. Are the twin brake an single clutch cylinders a giant improvement over the bulky alfa units? Would a brake portioning valve be a worthy investment as well? I will probably stick with the stock alfa calipers for a bit then invest in some big front brakes (4-pots?) and SZ rears.
