Hi All,
I finally got round to dropping a 3.0L from a 75 into MY GTV6. I love the extra torque but miss the 2.5L sound. I am running the standard 2.5L exhaust at the moment. Anyone got any thoughts on how to go about modifying the exhaust system to get back som 2.5L music??
Thanks,
Brian.

in short you won't! no fancy manifolds, different exhausts etc are going to make the 3.0 sound like a 2.5.

It was not the purpose of this exhaust manifols, but it is the result...
3.0 sounds more "clear" like 2.5.
It's going with genuine rear muffler. If you put something else at the end I don't know the sound results. I'll try with an Ansa to ear if it gives something interesting.

I think the so called sound of the 2.5 is overstated. I love the angry sound of my 3 litre. I don't agree that one is better than the other. Both are great. It's not just a matter of exhaust systems. The respective engines are pulling the same mass but one is under less stress than the other which will impact on the tonality and this is never going to change doesn't matter what you do so enjoy it for what it is.
