The attention to detail and the amount of work gone into the finishing are breathtaking. Those callipers are better looking now then they ever were. :)

Mate! You've stepped it up a notch here! Amazing job!

May I ask how you cleaned the calipers?

I'm about to start on my 166 ones and had planned to use oven cleaner and isopropyl alcohol ...

I depends what condition the surface of your calipers is.

The calipers I bought were the bare metal version. In Ti cars (ie: 159 Ti), they are of course painted red.

I cleaned mine with wax&grease remover, but isopropyl alcohol would be ideal. On areas of corrosion, I ground them back using a Dremel with a 'wire brush' attachment. If you have areas of corrosion, you can do the same; if not a Dremel, then a brass wire brush attachment on a power drill, like here: http://pic20.picturetrail.com/VOL166/13 ... 791832.jpg (Bunnings sell them).

Otherwise, just sandpaper the paint (eg: 400 grade wet and dry then 800).

:)

I've just found a couple discs suitable for conversions in addition to the well known GTA 305x28 and 330x32 discs:

Brembo 09.8003.10 (285x28, 5x98) From various models (Citroen, Peugeot, Fiat, etc..)
Brembo 09.7680.20 (310x32, 5x98) From various models (Citroen, Peugeot, Fiat, etc..)

Hope this helps
