Switching AP CP5200 Calipers around

Post by Mats »

A couple of friends are possibly parting out their racecar and I'm eying the AP calipers... 8) :)

One problem though, they are "trailing edge" calipers. :(
Because the pistons aren't the same size I can't just put them on the other side, the pads would taper like crazy.

Looking at the calipers I suspect that I could just switch over the crossover pipe and bleed screws but since I don't have the calipers here I can't really see...

Anyone knows if I'm correct in my assumptions?
Barry, I'm looking in your direction... 8) :D

Mats, yes, simply swing he nipples and pipes around and swop left to right and vice versa .no problems here....
French cars are shit and shit expensive to service and bloody awful and unreliable and expensive and friends don't let friends drive french cars and you wait years for parts.

Brilliant, that's what I thought.

Would have been a pretty stupid engineer to design it any other way. :)

Thanks!
