Hi guys,

I want to get some mintex pads from my local BNT but they cant find the part numbers in their book.

Its for a 1986 gtv6 with the standard brembos.

Does anyone have other brand part numbers that i could cross reference?

Thanks

Not an answer to your question but why on earth would you want Mintex pads? It's like specifically trying to buy old tires. :)

agree with Mats, I have a set of old Mintex on mine, I put them on just to get it through the MOT inspection recently, and are fitted until I order some pagids. these old things are outmoded

If your after Mintex try Palmside motorsport they're the dealer for them but Mintex aint cheap, i race my GTV6 here in the South Island and im using Ferodo DS3000 pads from Race Brakes in Auckland and the cars great under braking but i also know that some people get pads from Les Hunter down here in CHCH as he can make them up to suit your car.
It might pay to call these people and discus your reqirements as to the cars use as to which is the best pad for your car.

Performance Friction PFC01 or Pagid Black RS14 (IIRC).

DS3000 disappears in about two shakes of a lambs tail, at least om my car.

Pagids, really good. I get mine from RSR. do you have an RS dealer over there? probably work out very expensive for you though with shipping.

I use these on my street car and they are very good. Don't use them if you object to black dust or the occasional squeel.

Good point. The Performance Friction pads spray huge amouts of sparks when cold. I'm talking like an angle grinder behind the wheel.

I've found Ferodo DS2500 to be OK on road and a bit of track work (well, actually I cooked from fronts on the track, but I think it was operator error more than the fault of the pads - too many hard laps in a row with no time to cool - discs went blue, pads went white and crumbly   ).

Am now trying a Race Brakes compound on the front but is too early to make a recommendation in that regard.
