Re: Building the supercharger to the engine (75 3.0V6)
gearbox internals almost referbished in a nice state.
Got an other gearbox and exchanged parts. Also a new bearing for reverse. It was -0.15mm so i presfit a new bearing surface from a needle bearing. I know it weakens the shaft a bit but i geuss it's just fine. Don't reverse the whole day And fifht is supported for 90% by the bearings in the flange in the middle of the box. Also popped in a new reverse gear. It was verry worn...
Shimming the pignon still has to be done.
Now that all the drive line is of the car it is a nice time to built some headers. Jacked it up high and oilpan protection is of. I thought something like the JK24v headers should be nice for my apllication. What do you guys think of the spec's from the exhaust for my 75.
Only thing i think i change is the upper header part for easy fabrication like this:
Pipe diametre and lenght should be the same as JK one. Any tips?

Some progress:
Re: Building the supercharger to the engine (75 3.0V6)
Till now 3.75% length difference.... not bad. Some tuning to do maybe. Wonder how good the csc's are?
Re: Building the supercharger to the engine (75 3.0V6)
Looking good . Just check the flanges between headers and down pipes are planed after welding as this distorts and can lead to a leak as you only have three bolts clamping it . If you could make tiny pipe inserts in this joint between the pipes it also helps stopping gasses blow by . I used to get really nice compressible exhaust gaskets lasered which took up any difference in levels .
Re: Building the supercharger to the engine (75 3.0V6)
If flatness is a problem i mill them down. Copper gaskets i am planning to use. Can mill them myself.
Also i weld the flanges inside so welding them disortes them as less as possible and flow is optimised. The primary tubes are gonna be welded tig with backing gas for smooth internals.

On my turbo manifold (stainless) I made the flanges so that I could slide the tubing into the flange and weld in the middle of the flange. Zero disortion.

What a pain in the .. to built but now i'm happy again

Wow! Beautiful!!!!
Headers are a lot of work! I saw a 916 GTV 24V with custom headers. The poster said the person who made the headers would prefer to commit suicide than to make another one for the Alfa.

Wow Superb ! Very neat the way you have kept the volume and clearance over the Dedion . I see this car the rear section of exhaust goes on the right side of gearbox . Is that for all 75 ?
