Its all a matter of how good the hardening process is after actual machining/regrinding. If the nitriding process is correct, you shouldn't have any problems. Many grinders don't bother re-hardening, thinking that the base circle is not being loaded anyway... you take your chances! :?:

About the headers, the primary manifolds (catless and not casted ones) are the best price/performance option for our engines. secondary pipes can be swapped for equal lenght one and that's about it.
Ahm regrinds are totaly usable for daily driving, i had no problems with them...

Is that USD$740 for 4 cams, excluding the cam cores, Do we have to supply the cam cores?

The idle quality is not very good, but that is expected. Sounds like it has a lot of overlap and lift at TDC. It's definitely a very fast street cam and will not pass emissions here in CA.

Also does your GTV has the 6-speed or 5-speed? WIth the 45mm runners and some peaky cams, my 164 will be terrible to drive with the stock gearbox. The effective final drive ratio is 3.35 or something like that. The QV is 3.42. Even the 75 3.0 Jetronic has a 3.5X ratio and everyone complains about the gearbox. 3.35...that's just crazy! I need a 3,9 ratio with 6-speeds from a 156 V6!!!!!
