Install Momentary and Power switch in place of Ign. Switch

Post by fritzallseasons »

I have stored my GTV6 for some time now and have seemed to lost my keys. This car is not in great condition, so I was just going to wire in a power switch and a momentary switch. I've installed the momentary switch so the car cranks, but I'm unsure of the wires that go to the cars power (windows, radio, fuel pump, etc.) Does anyone have experience doing this? There are 4 wires in total, so I figure two to power the car, and two to crank the car. I've got two hooked up correctly to crank the car. But out of the remaining two, one (a green wire) goes into a connector plug from the original ignition switch, and no wire is connected to it through the mating connector. Is this a ground because it's green? Is it that simple that I should just ground it? Your advice is welcomed. Thank you.
