Headlamp switch relay

Post by fuzzysi »

Hi,

After a considerable lay-up my 75 is now back on the road as my evey day driver.

Some time ago i put some new headlamp bulbs in and they quickly caused my stalk switch to burn out.

I've now got a NOS switch and dont want the same thing to happen,

Has anyone fitted a relay so the switch doesnt get all the current?

If so where and how did you break into the circuit?

Any help is much appreciated

Simon have a look at this link.It explains the process and has a good wiring diagram.Best place to locate the relays is on the fenderwell near the headlights.
