Am begining to replace my water pump. The instructions I have read state that the distributer pully needs to be removed. After looking at the pully in realtionship to the pump it appears that I could remove the pump w/o taking the pully off. Am I just wishful thinking? The pump is secured by bolts not studs and nuts(seem to remember reading that it was studs and nuts). Any suggestions out there? Terry

Terry, you dont have to take the dizzy puley off.You will have to take the main pulley off though,This is for the pump to come far enough forward to clear the studs.Once the pump is off, make life easier next time round and remove the stud .Replace it with a cap screw so you wont have to remove the front pulley again......
