Radiator Fans GTV6?
Hey guys!
My fans are stuck after many years of standing still in dust and moist air, so i need new ones. I´ve tried to find used ones, but no answers. Brand new ones are more expensive than drugs!
Does anyone know another car/modell using the same fans?
Cheers / Seb

Hi Dennis!
Sounds like i good idea. How is the fit to the GTV6 radiator? A lot of rebuilding?
Is there a difference between the TS and the 2.5/3.0 fans?
Do you have a link to Michaels documentation?
Cheers /Seb

"Cooling problems have been solved by installing this Milano (75) radiator cooling fan - which has proven to work a lot better than the stock twin fan setup. It bolted on quite easily - though a little grinding was needed to allow the shroud to clear the sides - and allow it to fit as close to the radiator as possible. Note that I also needed to grind away a bit of the mounting bracket indicated by the red arrow. As you can see, the aluminium adapter brackets attach to the GTV6 radiator using the stock mounting positions and hardware."

Well Jim, I would if I had some money to spend on it. I just want to get it working for now. I have a lot of other expenses with hte car this winter. I dod not plan for the fan to be one of them unfortunately.
Are those expensive and are they easy to come by?

For the rad I paid 114Euros (dealer price) but regular price was 175. The twin fans you can get from a used parts store as I did (90Euros) and then rebuild them (no parts required, just cleaning the inside of the motors, smooth out the the collector and brushes, grease the bearings and thats it.
These aluminum rads are very hard to come by now, but the std TD rad should be available new (same size).

Who made (makes) that alu rad? I ended up putting a new stock 3 liter rad in my 3 liter milano a month back. Ran well at Oct TT in the CA desert (WSR), but then again, it had cooled down some by then.

Its a Spanish subsidiary of the BEHR company (German firm making all kinds of excellent quality rads and thermostats for all kinds of cars)
The box has the p/n AL2031 on it, but nothing related turns up in the net.
This rad has Alfa90 and 75 TD application and the bottom pegs fit the 3liter if you use a 55Ah battery and cut a ~2" V shape notch in the tray. Good idea to enlarge the front sheetmetal window to expose the whole surface and fit a heavier duty 40A relay with bigger gauge wires straight to the battery or starter motor terminal.
