Late 115 LSD into a 116 V6 Transaxle...

Does anybody know for certain that the LSD unit used in the GTV and Spyders (115) is the same unit used in the transaxle cars?

I did some reading on the AlfaBB that leads me to this... if this is true, and EVERYTHING is the same, then an open style 4.10 ratio transaxle should accept the limited slip unit from a GTV or Spyder 2.0.

My goal is to install an OS GIKEN unit into a 4.10 transaxle, and build a close ratio set using Alfetta gears. OS GIKEN offers a limited slip for the 105 & 115 cars (different units) and I am hoping this is a direct fit to my transaxle.

Thoughts & info appreciated!

Chris

Hi,
If the 115 is the same as the 105 series, then it won't work. The internals are apparently interchangeable. The casing is not. The ringgear spigot size and bolt pcd are different, and the distance between the bearings is smaller than the 116 diff.
