Enzo,
2 you lucky bugger
just had a look at the piccy of your 1st one and noticed that your grill is black,is that standard? or did you paint it,mine is red and i would prefer black,so i take it that because you are in Switzerland that the GP's were a world wide edition ?
did you buy them both new?
are they exactly the same ?
cheers m8

i painted it black, the other is original. both are exactly the same, same color, same interior...
one has the bodynumber ZAR116C0000018618 the other ZAR116C0000018619
i bought both used....in '85 i was 6 years old
the GP's were not a world wide edition...the german GP's were diffrent...that's a german GP
but they had a little diffrent center console

Fletch-
our GP edition was Australia specific. Ours came with the body kit and red grill 85-86. I have seen Euro models that were called a GP edition, and had regular bumpers- but with different interior.
You're best to ask club guys about it! Some of these guys just know it all....

I have a GP and always looking for a second!
Enzo beautiful cars and web page !
Enzo your GP has a few minor differences the yellow lights, the smaller front Alfa badge, the silver GP stripe, the rear lights look like the one's of an earlier Gtv, the rims, twin exit pipes, grill black as you said.
Can you buy the kit in Switzerland or did your fellow Alfisti paint there cars those different colours I noticed black, grey, blue, champagne I particularly like the French Blue GP great coulour for a GTV in Oz we only had the choice of Red.
Thanks John

I guess I'm a snob or something. I see these various versions and think it's all a bunch of unnecessary tacked on gingerbread. Even my car, an 82 Balocco (forget the s/n) with its clover leaf on the exit vent and Balocco script doesn't add anything to the car. The leather is tight-stretched and feels like a high grade vinyl. I do like the sun roof and AC though. It all strikes me a cheap marketing hooey.
I think the special additions should have consisted upgrades to the seats, suspension, transaxle ratios, LSD, wheels, power, etc. That would have been worthy of various special additions.
I think Plastic Pig's 3.5L track car is by far the best looking GTV6 out there. No rocker panel covers, no body cladding, no bumpers (probably not a good thing for driving in traffic), and no other tack-on’s. Very clean looking. It strikes me as the look Gurgaro(sp?) likely drew when he was first commissioned for the job. The very essence of what the Alfetta/GTV6 was meant to look like.
Probably raining on someone’s parade . . .

To clarify the situation with the "Grand Prix" versions of the GTV, there are 3 different editions :
- First is from France : concern only the GTV 2,0 L, produced in 1981... not a GTV6;
- Second is from Germany : very limited edition (100 samples, not numbered), produced in 1984, fitted with Rial wheels (7x15 and 205/50 VR 15 tyres), special bumpers.... some differences also inside (leather on the special central console + mano for outside t°....)
- Third is from Belgium, Netherlands, Switzerland and Australia : 800 samples, not numbered, from 1985-1986. Body kit from Rayton Fissore. No change inside nor in engine or bumpers...
Look at my website to see brochures and pictures from these cars (http://www.gtv6-156gta.be )
